    ROSS ELEMENTARY Abra-Kid-Abra Magic Camp: Mind Reading and Other Cool Tricks (Full Day) | 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. | Grades 1-6 | Ross Elementary | $235 Mind read the word a spectator is thinking of! Vanish coins! Change a card that a spectator is holding in their hand! These are just a few of the tricks you’ll learn in Abra-Kid-Abra’s Mind Reading & Other Cool Tricks Camp! Most of the tricks involve reading, spelling, or writing—so not only will you have fun learning magic, but you’ll hone your literary skills as well! You’ll get your own magic box, and new tricks to put in it daily. Twist animal balloons, learn comedy bits, and discover fun betchas you can pull on your friends! Camp culminates with students putting on a show for their families. Goals are to develop presentation skills & confidence, improve reading skills, and to have fun! Bricks 4 Kidz - Mario Brothers | 12:30-3:30 p.m. | Grades 1-6 | Ross Elementary | $159 Join us for this building summer camp where campers will use LEGO® Bricks to build different characters from their favorite video games, Mario Bros. Characters such as Super Mario Bros, Bowser, and their friends come to life using our robots, mosaics, and 3D art, made of LEGO® Bricks. Each day will be a new adventure as the virtual and LEGO® worlds combine! All campers take home a custom-made mini figure. Spend the week with passionate pro instructors learning, practicing, and playing the sport they love.     Tryouts for Rockwood Swim Club are set up in 10 minute increments. Sign up for the best time for your schedule. Lafayette High School | 5:30-6:30 p.m. July 30 and July 31 Rockwood Swim Club Tryout Requirements: Basic Requirements for Scheduling a Tryout Have been in swim lessons, swim team or a summer league team If in SwimSchool need to be station 6 or higher For 10 & Under need to be able to swim at minimum length of the pool of each of the following: freestyle with breathing to side, backstroke, and parts of breaststroke and butterfly legal (either arms legal or kick legal) For 11 & Over need to be legal in all four strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly) have general knowledge of flip turns, ability to swim a minimum of 200 yards (8 lengths of the pool) continuously Things to bring to Tryouts: Swim suit, towel, googles, swim cap For more information about the club, please visit the Rockwood Swim Club website.
