  • Swim School Group Lessons: Session 15 (Week of July 22); Eureka High School

    Group lessons are for ages 4 and up with classes taught in six stations. New swimmers will be evaluated and placed at a station based on their current skill level. Swimmers will advance from station to station at their own pace as they learn and can consistently perform the skills taught at each station. Our teaching progression emphasizes correct body position, stroke and kick, breathing and timing of the strokes while focusing on basic water safety, fitness and fun.
  • Preschool: Session 15 (Week of July 22); Eureka High School

    The preschool lesson program is designed to introduce 3-4 year olds to proper breathing, front/back float and kicking techniques. When they can be done on a consistent basis, the child will continue to freestyle and backstroke. After they have reached the age of four, they may be moved to the Swim School Group Lessons.
  • Private Lessons: Session 15 (Week of July 22); Eureka High School

    Private lessons are for ages 3+ and all levels of swimmers who feel they will progress faster with one-on-one private instruction. Lessons will follow the standard program progression but can be tailored to specific needs if requested.

    Interested in seeing if the Rockwood Swim Club is right for you? Come see what we are all about. Receive expert instruction from our professional coaching staff, and find out about potential group placement within the club. Attend daily or a minimum of three times per week. Lafayette High School | 5:30-6:30 p.m. July 30 and July 31 Rockwood Swim Club Tryout Requirements: Basic Requirements for Scheduling a Tryout Have been in swim lessons, swim team or a summer league team If in SwimSchool need to be station 6 or higher For 10 & Under need to be able to swim at minimum length of the pool of each of the following: freestyle with breathing to side, backstroke, and parts of breaststroke and butterfly legal (either arms legal or kick legal) For 11 & Over need to be legal in all four strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly) have general knowledge of flip turns, ability to swim a minimum of 200 yards (8 lengths of the pool) continuously Things to bring to Tryouts: Swim suit, towel, googles, swim cap For more information about the club, please visit the Rockwood Swim Club website.
