Develop confidence, self-control, and peace while learning self-defense. Black belt instructor encourages rather than intimidates, and teaches hand/foot techniques, including breaking free from an attacker or bully. Offered in partnership with The Arch Shidokan Karate.

Session 1: Thursday, September 4 | 6-8 p.m. | Selvidge Middle School
Session 2: Friday, October 3 | 6-8 p.m. | Selvidge Middle School
Session 3: Thursday, November 6 | 6-8 p.m. | Parkway Northeast Middle School 
Session 4: Friday, December 5 | 6-8 p.m. | Parkway Northeast Middle School

$45 / Gold and Silver Card does not apply / PSD/RSD Employee Discount Eligible (PSD excludes 12/5 class)

Pay a little more and help others enjoy learning and fun with Community Ed! Each of our adult programs includes an option to ‘pay a little more. All funds raised help to provide enriching and engaging experiences for youth, families, and adults in need of financial assistance.

The Arch Shidokan Karate teaches "The Shidokan Shorin-Ryu karate style which is the ancient style Karate which originated in the birth place of karate, Okinawa, Japan. The rigorous training cultivates physical power and a keen kind, thus contributing to the well-being of the practitioner & society. The diverse elements and characteristics that made karate popular throughout the world have instilled inspiration in the hearts of millions of people."
