Calling all pottery lovers! This 10-week open studio is designed for adults with prior experience in hand-building or wheel throwing. While not a formal instructional class, Rockwood Valley Middle School art teachers Lindsay Orr and James Mullen will offer tips, guidance, and support as you work independently. Potters should be comfortable using techniques such as wheel throwing, hand-building, and glazing, and are expected to follow general studio etiquette. "Studio managers" will provide clay, tools, and fire projects as needed throughout the session. Materials provided: Stoneware clay, individual tool kit (sponge, smooth scraper, loop tool, sculpting tool, ribbon tools, potter's needle, potter's rub, wire clay cutter, slip container), glaze, paintbrushes, access to five pottery wheels, storage trays, and plastic wrap. Participants may also bring their own tools.
