Family Time: Mini Valentines Vending Machine

In this playful workshop, we will transform an ordinary shoebox into a mini Valentine’s Day vending machine filled with bite-sized candy surprises! Using paint, paper, and creative decorations, we’ll design colorful exteriors and craft simple mechanisms to “dispense” treats. This project combines construction, creativity, and a touch of sweetness, making it perfect for Valentine’s gifting or just for fun. Everyone will leave with a one-of-a-kind candy machine to share or keep for themselves. Instructor: Erica Harvey

I hold a BA in Fashion Design and an MFA in Industrial Design, blending creativity with practical design skills. I’ve been a maker and artist since the age of five, always exploring new ways to bring ideas to life. Over the years, I’ve worked across many mediums, from textiles to product design, and continue to expand my creative practice. My passion is helping others discover the joy of making and building confidence through hands-on projects. I believe art should be playful, accessible, and a lifelong adventure.
