Sensory-Friendly: Adult Open Swim

Sensory Friendly Adult Open Swim sessions are designed for adults (18+) with social, emotional, cognitive, or physical impairments who may not benefit from a traditional pool setting.

Program Format: The pool will be open for participants to swim in the shallow or deep end for sensory stimulation, physical activity, and gross motor skill development in a quiet, open environment (six participants maximum per session). A lifeguard will be present; however, participants will not receive direct instruction or in-water support from staff.

Parents or guardians must accompany the adaptive adult swimmer in the pool if 1:1 support is needed.

Session 1: Sunday, September 27 | 1:30-2:30 p.m. OR 2:45-3:45 p.m.
Session 2: Sunday, October 25 | 1:30-2:30 p.m. OR 2:45-3:45 p.m.
Session 3: Sunday, November 29 | 1:30-2:30 p.m. OR 2:45-3:45 p.m.
