Adaptive Young Adults: Life Skills Workshop
Are you working on life skills with your young adult at home? This Adaptive Young Adult program is for participants with social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and/or medical needs that require an adaptive program environment for participation (and for parents who are looking for a break in their day). In this class, participants will meet others and participate in discussion and hands-on activities focused on building independence, social relationships, and vocational, work-based skills.
Program participant requirements: must be able to primarily meet activities of daily living (toileting, eating/drinking) with minimal support and be able to follow program safety and behavior management guidelines with prompting from staff. Questions about whether this program is a good fit for your young adult? Please contact Parkway-Rockwood Community Ed Inclusion Specialist Chloe Burcke at burckechloe@prcommunityed.org.
