Increase critical thinking skills, stimulate intellectual creativity and improve problem solving ability while having a great time playing the game of chess. All skill levels welcome. No prior chess knowledge is necessary. Offered in partnership with Gabriel Boyd and EnPassant Chess Club. Kehrs Mill Elementary E-Hour Session 2: Knights Basketball Academy: Fundamentals of Basketball
This program focuses on teaching the fundamentals of basketball, including dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork. Through engaging drills and interactive games, participants will build confidence, improve their skill level, and learn the rules of play in a fun and supportive environment. Knights Basketball Academy’s (KBA) mission is to compete at the highest level on and off the court. KBA strives to be an all-inclusive basketball club reaching out to all areas of St. Louis and Metro East Illinois. KBA’s mission is to create a positive network of players, coaches, families, and business partners to positively impact our community and region. Our goal is NOT to only teach the great sport of basketball but to use basketball as a vehicle to help our players succeed while with KBA and when they move on to college and professional careers. KBA players understand hard work, dedication, attention to detail, TEAM concepts, leadership, and competition. KBA players simply make everyone around them better! KBA strives to create superior basketball players and teams, and we have a history of producing fantastic young men and women ready to make a positive impact on our community. Kehrs Mill Elementary E-Hour Session 2: STAGES: Broadway Kids!
Act! Sing! Dance! This highly energetic class will focus on some of today and yesterday’s best kid friendly Broadway musical sensations such as ANNIE, Mary Poppins, The Music Man, SHREK, The Sound of Music, Wizard of OZ, etc. Students will learn songs, scenes and choreography to put them one step closer to the bright lights of Broadway! Offered in partnership with STAGES St. Louis. All sessions will end in a culminating performance for family and friends the last day of class. | Last Day Performance: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the end of class on the last day. STAGES St. Louis is professional theatre company and education institute committed to preserving and advancing the art form of Musical Theatre through excellence in performance and education. Kehrs Mill Elementary E-Hour Session 3: Bricks 4 Kidz: Minecraft Gaming
Come join your friends who share your love of Minecraft. We will start learning basics and advance to traps and redstone. We provide tablets, but feel free to bring your own to work on your own world. All participants take home a pick axe pencil. Bricks 4 Kidz has been operating in St Louos since 2011. We offer STEM- based after school programs that are both educational and fun. Ignite your child’s curiosity, fuel their passion and unlock their full potential with our STEAM programs, in an environment where learning is celebrated, friendships are made and tomorrow’s innovators are shaped. SLSG’s Introduction to Soccer is a developmental soccer training session offered to players at an introductory level. Players will learn the foundations of soccer through fun games and drills.
