Amazing Family Race: Outdoor Edition
We’re back for the 2nd Annual Amazing Family Race! Gather the whole family and get ready for an unforgettable adventure. Loosely inspired by the popular TV show, your team will face pit stops, detours and exciting challenges as you race against the clock to earn points and complete as many tasks as possible. We’re bringing back some of last year’s favorite challenges and adding brand-new ones for even more fun! This unique outdoor event is all about teamwork, laughter, and making memories that will last a lifetime. Held at the Babler Outdoor Education Center inside Babler Memorial State Park. Ready for some sweet competition? Get the whole family in on the fun! You’ll be provided with all the ingredients and basic directions. Then it’s game on as you create your very own dessert pizza masterpiece. Once the baking is done, taste everyone’s delicious creations and vote for your favorite. Puzzle Palooza! Can your family beat the clock? Gather your puzzle-loving family members and get ready for a fast-paced evening of fun and friendly competition! Each team will receive the same 500-piece puzzle, and the first to finish will be crowned the winner. Teams may include up to 5 family members. Feel free to bring your own peanut-free snacks and non-alcoholic drinks. Check-in begins at 6:15 p.m., and the competition starts promptly at 6:30 p.m. Taught by a Community Ed Instructor. Once the masterpieces are complete, everyone will vote for the gingerbread house that spreads the most holiday cheer. The winning team will take home a fun, festive prize! New Momma Meet Up: Hiking
Hey new moms, ready to get outside and connect? Join other moms for a refreshing guided hike along stroller-friendly trails. Each session offers a chance to enjoy the outdoors, share stories, find support, and celebrate the ups and downs of motherhood — all with your little one by your side. Suggested for moms with children ages 0 to 2. This course is led by Community Ed Instructor and fellow mom of two, Aimee Gao. Location will be announced and will take place in the Ballwin area. Science with Santa
Join us for our popular 4th Annual Science with Santa event! Celebrate the season with hands-on learning and holiday cheer. Families can travel between self-led science experiment stations, enjoy a snack, and spend some special time with Santa himself! Each station includes easy-to-follow instructions and all the materials you need, so you can go at your own pace. Make and take home your own slime, explore light refraction, take on LEGO building challenges, and much more. We’re bringing back fan-favorite experiments from past years and adding exciting new ones for even more scientific fun. More than just a photo op, this event offers a unique opportunity for one-on-one time with Santa while engaging in interactive, educational activities the whole family will love. Adults attend free.
