Join us for an inclusive and supportive All Abilities Basketball Clinic designed for participants of all skill levels and abilities, geared towards the needs of participants who may have (but not limited to) a social, emotional, cognitive, or physical impairment. This adaptive program focuses on fun and play while building confidence, coordination, and teamwork through basketball for participants with Program Format and ScheduleSession 1 (Oct. 10): Participants will learn and practice fundamental skills including dribbling, passing, shooting, and game play with instruction tailored to individual needs and abilities.Session 2 (Oct. 17): Participants will showcase their skills in a friendly scrimmage with other players. Instruction is provided by a Community Education instructor during both practice and scrimmage sessions. A parent or guardian must be present to support their child’s participation. 5th Grade Volleyball Club (Babler Elementary) Students will meet once a week to learn and practice volleyball skills, concepts, and team play. Bulldog Running Club (Babler Elementary) Students will learn healthy practices of fitness and running while working as a team and learning to support one another. The Bulldog Running Club provides students with regular opportunities to improve their fitness, build endurance, and develop a love of running. Students will be encouraged to run a mile or as much as they are able during each club meeting, with the opportunity to run farther if they choose. The club will promote physical and mental well-being, perseverance, goal-setting, teamwork, confidence, and the development of healthy lifelong habits.
