Adaptive Swim Lessons (Please See Class Description for Reserved Population)
Adaptive Swim Lessons are private swim lessons that are geared towards the needs of the participants who may have (but not limited to) a social, emotional, cognitive, or physical impairment, and who may not benefit from the “traditional” swim lesson setting. Participants are paired 1:1 with an instructor, and are able to work on any goal that pertains to the child’s needs (i.e. sensory experience, basic swimming skills, gross motor or fine motor skills, etc.)Registrations immediately go on the waitlist in order to determine if the child meets the requirements for adaptive lessons as described above. Waitlist registrations will be confirmed, as space allows, in the order they were placed once the determination has been made prior to the start of the first class. -
All Abilities Basketball Clinic
Join us for an inclusive and supportive All Abilities Basketball Clinic designed for participants of all skill levels and abilities. This adaptive program focuses on fun and play while building confidence, coordination, and teamwork through basketball. Program Format and ScheduleSession 1 (Oct. 10): Participants will learn and practice fundamental skills including dribbling, passing, shooting, and game play with instruction tailored to individual needs and abilities.Session 2 (Oct. 17): Participants will showcase their skills in a friendly scrimmage with other players. Instruction is provided by a Community Education instructor during both practice and scrimmage sessions. A parent or guardian must be present to support their child’s participation. Each class, kids create a unique landmark-inspired masterpiece while building their skills, confidence, and a sense of wonder. We’ll discover ancient civilizations and the awe-inspiring World Wonders they built. We’ll paint. We’ll sculpt. We’ll build, glue, and cut as each week kids create artwork inspired an amazing epic landmark like the Colosseum, the Taj Majal, Machu Picchu, and the Sphinx. Is your child curious about babysitting but not quite ready to dive in? We can help! Designed for aspiring babysitters, this class teaches essential skills and knowledge to help them feel confident and prepared.
