Barretts Elementary E-Hour Session 4: Nutty Scientists: Robotics and AI
The robotics and AI program will introduce the children to the Robotics and artificial intelligence world using programmable robots such as Recon Rover, Sphero, and Edison. Children will work in teams and use basic programming commands to control these robots. They will learn to control using printed barcodes and block coding. It does not use computer programming. It gives children the necessary information to know how to start in this world and have fun with it. Nutty Scientists® is the leading provider of interactive programs for children of all ages related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) learning. Since 1996 we have developed appropriate activities for children that promote their interest in science and its impact on the world today. We also offer hands-on activities showcasing environmental and health issues in a different, entertaining and leisurely way. In fact, we’ve partnered with some of the largest corporations in the world to spread messages of conservation to children everywhere. Over 9 million children have participated in one of our programs all over the world. SLSG’s Introduction to Soccer is a developmental soccer training session offered to players at an introductory level. Players will learn the foundations of soccer through fun games and drills. Act! Sing! Dance! This highly energetic class will focus on some of today and yesterday’s best kid friendly Broadway musical sensations such as ANNIE, Mary Poppins, The Music Man, SHREK, The Sound of Music, Wizard of OZ, etc. Students will learn songs, scenes and choreography to put them one step closer to the bright lights of Broadway! Offered in partnership with STAGES St. Louis. All sessions will end in a culminating performance for family and friends the last day of class. | Last Day Performance: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the end of class on the last day. Our programs give participants a fun, laid-back environment to learn the basics of a sport and to develop athletic and life skills.
