Modern Music Production & Recording
Learn the complete end-to-end workflow for modern music production in this hands-on course covering recording, editing, mixing, and preparing audio for release using industry-standard tools such as DAWs, plugins, and MIDI controllers. By the end, you will complete a polished project such as a song or sample pack while gaining a repeatable professional process.
Participants must bring a laptop, iPad, or device capable of running a digital audio workstation (DAW) such as GarageBand, Logic, Pro Tools, or Studio One. Instructor: John Patinella

John Michael Patinella
Instructor
John Patinella is a seasoned audio engineer, producer, and musician originally from Baltimore, Maryland, whose musical influences range from Phish and Miles Davis to Madonna and Herbie Hancock. He graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Human Development, where he was also a member of the golf team and made a memorable 320-yard hole-in-one. In 2010, he relocated to Los Angeles to pursue his passion for music and earned a degree in Audio Engineering from the Los Angeles Recording School. John has produced audio rebrands for STARZ, Encore, and Time Warner Cable, and has worked with artists including Tha Otherz, C Hu$tle, Kenny Crawford, and Funktasy artists Wemi and FrankNoMore. He is passionate about collaborating and creating music with other dedicated artists.
