A competitive program where teams are formed and divided by age and skill level. Teams compete in multiple tournaments during the season both in and out of state. Tryouts are open to all athletes who meet the Gateway age requirements. Tryout times will be determined in early September and posted at the Rockwood Thunder website. Tryout fee is a non-refundable $35 fee per player.

Private lessons provide individualized skill and positional training to the player that wants to gain that extra edge on the competition. All of the Rockwood Thunder coaches involved in the private lesson program are highly trained in all individual positions and skills of volleyball. Payment must be made prior to the start of lessons. Families can travel between self-led science experiment stations, enjoy a snack, and spend special time with Santa himself! Each station includes easy-to-follow instructions and all the materials you need so you can go at your own pace. Make and take home your own slime, explore light refraction, take on LEGO building challenges, and much more. We’re bringing back fan-favorite experiments from past years and adding exciting new ones for even more scientific fun. More than just a photo op, this event offers a unique opportunity for one-on-one time with Santa while engaging in interactive, educational activities the whole family will love. Adults attend free. Sensory Friendly Adult Open Swim sessions are designed for adults (18+) with social, emotional, cognitive, or physical impairments who may not benefit from a traditional pool setting. Program Format: The pool will be open for participants to swim in the shallow or deep end for sensory stimulation, physical activity, and gross motor skill development in a quiet, open environment (six participants maximum per session). A lifeguard will be present; however, participants will not receive direct instruction or in-water support from staff. Parents or guardians must accompany the adaptive adult swimmer in the pool if 1:1 support is needed.
