Drive Time Only (School Year 2024-25)
Are you registered in the district's school year driver education program and looking for behind the wheel instruction and in-car observation? This program provides instructional drive time taught by certified Rockwood Driver Education teachers. Schedules are flexible and determined by the student and instructor. Student must have completed Driver Education with the school district. Ages 15+ (Must have permit) Various Rockwood facilities Fee: $49.50 per hour. Girls' Self Defense
Develop confidence, self-control and peace while learning self-defense. Black belt instructor encourages rather than intimidates, and teaches hand/foot techniques including breaking free from an attacker or bully. Offered in partnership with The Arch Shidokan Karate. Intro to Volleyball (Boys and Girls)
Designed for beginners who are looking to learn the basic skills of volleyball. No experience is needed; participants will learn the rules of volleyball throughout the 4-week program. Rockwood Thunder Tournament & Coach Travel Payment
Rockwood Thunder Volleyball Tournament & Coach Travel Payment This payment covers all tournament entry monies for your team and your coach's travel expenses (i.e. hotel, airfare, rental car, etc.). It also covers your team's coaching staff's pay for the regular season (October 2024 - May 2025). You may choose to either make the payments in full or use the installment plan (there are 5 installments). Installment payments must be paid in full no later than May 10. Please contact your coach if there are any questions regarding fees. -
Rockwood Thunder Volleyball Private Lessons 24/25
Welcome to the Rockwood Thunder VBC Private Lesson Online Payment SystemNote: Please do not register or make payment for private lessons if you have not already confirmed lessons with a specific coach through the Rockwood Thunder website at www.rockwoodthundervbc.com. Private lessons provide individualized skill and positional training to the player that wants to gain that extra edge on the competition. All of the Rockwood Thunder coaches involved in the private lesson program are highly trained in all individual positions and skills of volleyball. Payment must be made prior to the start of lessons. If payment is not received prior to the start of the lesson, the lesson will need to be rescheduled. We ask that you make payment at least two days in advance. Tennis
Ages 5-8 - 36’ x 18’ court - shorter nets - 18”-20” rackets. This class revolves entirely around having FUN, developing hand-eye coordination, and introducing basic stroke fundamentals. Proper rallying and serving aspects are explored while students are exposed to the basic rules of the game. This program is for participants 5-8 years old. Offered in partnership with Vetta Sports. Ages 9-10 - 60’ court - 23’’-25” rackets. This class encourages students to rally in a controlled fashion while learning the basics of score keeping. Singles and doubles are introduced as players can begin to play actual points on the age appropriate shortened courts. Offered in partnership with Vetta Sports. Ages 11-12 - standard court - 26”-27” rackets. This is a transitional class for players moving from orange classes to full-9-12size court with green tennis balls. Stroke fundamentals are still covered, but there is an introduction to strategy-based drills. Offered in partnership with Vetta Sports. Ages 13-18 - standard court - 27” rackets * NEW FORMAT: DRILL AND PLAY. Designed for the ideal PREPARATION for future and current high school tennis players. An introduction and continued development of strokes, scoring and strategy (DRILL), with an emphasis on live ball and match play situations (PLAY). Super fun, fast-paced and informative!
